Learning Agreements

The Process

We are happy to issue you a Learning Agreement for our bachelor’s and master’s courses. Exceptions are final theses in double-degree programs. In these cases, credit recognition at our chair is excluded.

To determine whether and which course we can recognize for you, we require the following information:

  • Number of ECTS credits (if you are going to a country that does not use the ECTS system, please provide a list of contact hours as well as an overview of the type and scope of the examination requirements)
  • For master’s students: confirmation of the study level, either through the module description or, if this is not apparent there, through an official link/information from the foreign university (master’s students can only receive credit for courses that are also at master’s level!)
  • A description of the course content (in German or English)
  • If possible: a reading list/literature list for the course
  • The name of the course/module at FAU for which you would like your foreign course to be recognized.

Please use a meaningful subject line in your email AND in the file name of the PDF of the Learning Agreement, for example:
“Learning Agreement_Year_LastName_FirstName”

Please send this information by email (as a link or attachment) exclusively to johanna.e.hallfahrt@fau.de. Processing time may take up to four weeks. Incomplete requests may further extend this processing time.itte sehen Sie davon ab, dem Lehrstuhlinhaber oder dem Sekretariat Anfragen bezüglich Learning Agreements zu schicken.

Here you will find a sample Learning Agreement for the Chair of Sustainability Management. The general template for creating a Learning Agreement can be found on the pages of the International Office.

After reviewing the documents, which may currently take up to 4 weeks, we will inform you whether we approve the Learning Agreement.

ATTENTION: Processing time may take up to 4 weeks!
