John Hernandez has been working at the Chair of Sustainability Management at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg since October 2025. As a doctoral candidate, he is working on a project led by Siemens Healthineers and the Digital Innovation Platform (d.hip) at the Chair of Corporate Sustainability Management. In his teaching role, he primarily assists Prof. Dr. Markus Beckmann with the course “Introduction to Sustainability Management.”
His research interests lie in the field of the circular economy for medical devices, as well as the sustainable transformation of hospitals and radiology services. A particular focus is on global access to care and issues of equity.
