{"id":5923,"date":"2026-05-19T09:33:08","date_gmt":"2026-05-19T07:33:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nachhaltigkeit.rw.fau.de\/?page_id=5923"},"modified":"2026-05-28T09:30:52","modified_gmt":"2026-05-28T07:30:52","slug":"politische-rolle-von-unternehmen","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.nachhaltigkeit.rw.fau.de\/en\/forschung\/forschungsbereiche\/politische-rolle-von-unternehmen\/","title":{"rendered":"Governance &amp; Regulation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Brief description<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our research focuses, among other things, on the political role of companies and regulatory processes related to sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this context, we examine, for example, phenomena of \u201cnew governance\u201d\u2014that is, regulatory processes in which not only the state but also civil society organizations and companies are involved in shaping the rules governing business conduct. This includes initiatives such as the Stewardship Council or integrity pacts for corruption prevention. Given the gaps in the regulatory framework for globalized business relations, these governance aspects are becoming increasingly relevant for corporate practice.<br>In addition, with regard to a company\u2019s external communication, we also examine reporting regulations (e.g., the EU CSR Directive on non-financial and diversity disclosure \/ CSR-RUG) and, in this context, focus on their practical implementation at the corporate level. This thus also encompasses aspects such as stakeholder management, materiality analyses, and reporting frameworks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There have also been several research projects and numerous publications on this topic in the past, which are listed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nachhaltigkeit.rw.fau.de\/en\/forschung\/publikationen\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"5906\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Brief description Our research focuses, among other things, on the political role of companies and regulatory processes related to sustainability.
